Country Radio Imaging
Female Country Radio Imaging Voice Over
Have you ever just known you were born to do something? When radio imaging was presented to Heather, with her warm, natural and approachable voice, she just knew this was what she is supposed to do. Radio imaging, especially country music is so close to her heart.
Your country station needs its own sound to stand out against all the others! Your listeners want to know where they are on the dial and that they are being represented by a station as loyal as they are! You need someone to be the voice of your station that loves the genre as much as they do.
Heather grew up in a rural area in Missouri before moving to Kansas City. She also spent a lot of time deep in the Ozarks. In her opinion, it’s one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. She loved walking in the woods and fishing with her family. The country station KYLC, was the lifeblood of the community and Heather listened to that station every single day when she was there. As a teen, pickup trucks, horses and all things “country” were the norm for her. Heather believes that the folks listening to country music are the backbone of our country today. It speaks to so many Americans and it’s important that your imaging voice connects with them in the same way. Heather’s “Tanya Tucker” style – raspy, husky and slightly sexy (or very sexy-your call) American female radio imaging voice is perfect for Country Stations, and while she normally speaks in a general American neutral accent, she can definitely perform in an authentic southern accent (once again-your call).
Heather grew up listening to the greats! Her Texas born and raised grandmother, Juanita, listened daily to the likes of Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr. and her favorite, Tanya Tucker! On Saturday nights she and her grandparents would gather around the T.V. to watch Hee Haw and the Mandrell Sisters. Heather also loves new artists like Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, Chris Janson, Kenny Chesney, Gretchen Wilson and Kane Brown! Today, country music is the largest radio demographic in the U.S, no doubt because of the heartfelt connection to the genre.
The newer country genre, with its infusion of rock and different music genres has melted perfectly with our changing demographics in the US. Heather knows how much county music means to their fans. She understands the history and deep roots that are there. Heather’s beloved grandmother passed away in 2018 at the age of 97 and Grandma Juanita was so proud that Heather was working with Country stations as their imaging voice. Heather feels especially connected to country music stations, just as your listeners do. It’s tradition. It’s family.
It’s not only important to have a voice that sounds like your station but sounds like your listeners so they can authentically relate. When they hear your brand, they will want to hear more. Heather’s fun, friendly and natural sound will resonate with your listeners!
Here are a a few more attributes of her voice: tough, but not too tough, a real country woman, a good girlfriend, with a healthy dose of femininity. Heather is so excited and grateful that the opportunity to do this has presented itself. It is so much fun and she’s pretty dang good at it. Heather has a great time playing around with your scripts providing ad libs, one liners, etc., if you are into that sort of thing 😉 She loves to get in the booth and play around. Funny, quirky and playful, your production crew will have a blast working with her.
And speaking of production: Her professional studio produces top of the line audio quality, from her acoustically treated recording space, her MacBook Pro workspace, the Audient iD14 interface she uses, Adobe Audition as her editing software and her Sennheiser 416 mic (she LOVES this mic!!), she will deliver to you pristine audio files quickly -most of the time within hours -with a smile. It’s always nice working with someone who absolutely adores their job, right?
